Android set default download folder

Here is how you can set the external SD card as the default download location for your files: On your Android tablet or phone, tap the app drawer icon from the home screen. From the displayed list, tap on the My files icon. From the opened window, on the top right corner, tap the icon with four horizontal lines.

From the displayed menu, tap the Settings option. On the opened Settings window, under Select directories on the left, tap the Set home directory option.

Tap the Menu icon from the top-left corner, tap Settings, and tap Directory settings. This opens the Directory settings window. Here you can change the default locations for the Home directory, Bluetooth share directory, and of course the default download location. In File Explorer, right-click on a file whose default program you want to change.

You should now see the file you recently downloaded with a date and time. Active 8 years, 2 months ago. Viewed 7k times. Improve this question. Daniel Daniel.
