According to the description this setting is related to store connections as well. I however see cases for allowing connections to the Windows store but force all conventional updates through WSUS.

Or, you could just use Windows Updates services from the internet. None of these solutions have worked for us. In fact right now all windows 10 build machines that try to download a cumulative updates from R2 WSUS hang on the download then after reboot are bricked with an error message.

At this point the machine is unusable and needs to be rebuilt. Yes you heard that right. What a disaster. I can reproduce this consistently in our environment. We are sticking with because we have no choice. Those are downloading to clients properly from WSUS still. We know what we are doing. Tuesday, August 30, AM. Total ba11s up. Tuesday, August 30, PM. It actually broke updates for build by putting those in. Taking them out and restarting IIS fixed I am currently rebuilding systems back on this morning.

Thanks Microsoft. Craig Don't dismiss it so quickly if you see it again. We found the machines were needing a rebuild. New profiles would also experience this issue. That is just not acceptable. I have followed all the steps set forth by everyone in this forum to install the two prerequisite updates from KB and KB and followed the necessary post installation steps. Just working through the other suggestions too. Start with the basics. Check your subscription to ensure you are downloading the updates you want to publish internally.

Check that the updates have been approved for installation. If your clients are reporting to the WSUS server and you have approved the updates you can use the following in a batch file on the host to reset the client after deleting it from your WSUS console. Once the client reports back you can assign it to the group in your GPO and check for updates. I've seen this issue where the computers can see the updates are available, but not retrieve them.

Since you have Client side targeting enabled, you will need to add PCs to the group you have created, has that been done? What happens if you go into IIS and browse to ? An additional setting is required to configure when the WSUS is not installed on a server.
